Thomas Metcalf took the next step in his AAT journey by studying for the Level 4 Professional Diploma to increase his efficiency and confidence at work.

I was originally referred to ICS Learn by my girlfriend. She is currently studying the CIPD qualification with them and only had great things to say about their service and materials.

I chose to continue my study of AAT as I’d already completed Level 2 & 3 through a college as an apprentice, Level 4 was the next natural step.

This is my first experience with distance learning, I was nervous at first and I’ve always had a classroom tutor to rely on for support during my studies.

The first unit I completed was Management Accounting: Budgeting with Tracey Lee, the dedicated tutor for that specific unit.

Tracey was nothing but supportive from the very beginning, she even laid out a plan for the unit chapter by chapter and which materials on the portal related to that unit, which was incredibly helpful.

My queries were answered within 2-3 hours of me submitting them to her and the responses and feedback I received was so detailed it was priceless.

The course has really helped me in my current role, I had only been in the position for a few short months before I started studying Level 4.

The knowledge I have gained from the studying has helped me show my worth to my new employers.

I work as part of a small team of accountants, my increasing knowledge due to the studying has shown my colleagues that not only can I be relied on when workloads become too heavy, but I’m also able to put my understanding of various accounting procedures into action independently.

I would and have recommended ICS Learn to friends and colleagues as even with my lack of experience with other providers, I believe that the service and the quality of their tutors can’t be beaten.
