AAT Student Stories: Anna Windle | AAT Level 2 Review

Anna was looking to upskill in her current job in order to gain more responsibilities and get promoted, so she decided to enrol on an AAT Level 2 qualification.

My name is Anna, and I am currently an Office Manager for Graftongate Investments Limited. At the beginning of the year, I began the Level 2 Certificate in Accounting Qualification with ICS to expand my current role and give me more responsibilities.

I chose ICS learn because of the excellent reviews from previous students and I have not been disappointed with the content and support for my course!

Having finished University in 2017 I was really nervous about being back in a learning environment, especially distance learning which I had never done before.

It really helped having to student forums so I can speak to other people who are in the same boat, and we can share our experiences and help each other out.

The immediate access to this made me feel more comfortable quickly, as well as having the flexibility to do it at my own pace.

I think distance learning has been beneficial as I can’t compare myself to others and cause myself any unnecessary anxiety.

My course tutor is also really friendly and approachable, she is always available when I need help. Any feedback on work I have submitted has also come back to me so quickly, usually within a few hours which is amazing and means I can start focusing on my mistakes and continue my learning straight away.

The list of suggested support materials and the suggested study plan have been really useful for integrating my studies into work and everyday life, by breaking down what I should be doing each week, which meant I didn’t have to spend time reviewing the modules and trying to plan this myself and have bought some excellent textbooks suggested by ICS with a 50% discount code they provided.

Once I have completed my course and proved I can cope with my new workload, I would love to come back to ICS and complete a Level 3 certificate, which will open more opportunities for my career in later life.
